We offer opportunities for carrying out small or medium size projects in the field of automatic translation (including multimodal translation e.g. speech-to-text). While we are happy to accomodate proposal coming from the prospective interns, we also have a list of already preconfigured projects to offer on topics that include:
- efficiency
- explainability
- fairness and bias
- human-centered AI
- low-resource languages
- multimodal large language models (MLLM)
- safety
- subtitling
- streaming/simultaneous translation
Typical activities include:
- implementation and analysis/evaluation of novel approaches
- development of demonstration systems
- benchmark creation
